About the Visiting Fellows Program

 

Visiting Fellows at the Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy conduct unbiased research, convene policymakers and market participants, and cultivate students to become the next generation of globally-minded, principled leaders who will use finance to serve the common good. They address timely issues around public and private markets, digital assets, market structure, and other pertinent financial topics through solutions-driven platforms.

The objective of the Visiting Fellows Program is to assist the Psaros Center in developing and promoting thought leadership and convening on topical issues where financial policy meets financial markets. As part of the program, the Psaros Center will provide research assistants to support projects, and the marketing and communications team will help disseminate the work of the Visiting Fellows to the relevant audience.

Experienced and respected thought leaders working on issues of interest to the Psaros Center with backgrounds in government, business, think tanks, and the non-profit sector are encouraged to apply. Individuals should have a strong network among the policy and practitioner community.

Responsibilities

Some participation and responsibilities include:

  • Write practitioner-oriented articles/white papers/blog posts
  • Produce social media content based on research conducted
  • Introduce relevant research to policymakers and practitioners
  • Advise on design of events and participate in Psaros Center events
  • Meet with faculty and students, as needed
  • Act as a public face of the Psaros Center by presenting Psaros Center affiliation at appropriate conferences and the media.

Yaya J. Fanusie

Yaya J. Fanusie

Visiting Fellow
Yaya J. Fanusie is the global head of policy at Aleo Network Foundation, where he leads global policy engagement and regulatory strategy to advance privacy-preserving blockchain systems and stablecoin adoption across consumer, enterprise, and institutional markets. A pioneer in assessing the national security implications of digital assets, Fanusie previously served as director of policy for anti-money laundering and cyber risk at the Crypto Council for Innovation, where he remains a senior advisor, and earlier spent seven years at the CIA as an economic and counterterrorism analyst. During his tenure, he regularly briefed federal law enforcement, U.S. military leadership, and senior White House officials—including personally briefing President George W. Bush—and provided on-the-ground analytic support to military officials in Afghanistan.
Ernie Tedeschi

Ernie Tedeschi

Visiting Fellow
Ernie Tedeschi is a Visiting Fellow at the Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy at Georgetown University. He is also the Director of Economics at the Yale Budget Lab. Until March 2024, Ernie was the Chief Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers. Prior to CEA, he was Managing Director and Head of Fiscal Analysis at Evercore ISI, a macro advisory firm. He was also previously an economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Ernie completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University and graduate work at the University of California at Berkeley.
Marshall Lux

Marshall Lux

Visiting Fellow
Marshall Lux has been a financial services consultant and practitioner for over 30 years and advises a number of companies, including those focused on consumer credit provision, wealth management, insurance, and cybersecurity. He has performed due diligence for many of the largest private equity deals and has worked with a broad network of financial services C-suite executives.
