Stacey Cunningham has more than 25 years of experience at leading financial markets institutions including the New York Stock Exchange, Intercontinental Exchange, Bank of America and Nasdaq.
As President of the New York Stock Exchange, Cunningham oversaw the world’s largest exchange, home to 2300 of the world’s most influential and most innovative companies, and was a member of the Intercontinental Exchange executive management team.
During her tenure as President, the NYSE was the market leader in global capital raising and led innovation in the capital markets with the development of Direct Listings as an alternative route for companies to access the public markets.
Cunningham serves as a passionate advocate for companies and their investors before regulators and lawmakers and speaks regularly on the role of capitalism and free markets to drive economic growth and societal advancement. As part of those efforts, Cunningham has led progress on important issues such as board diversity through the NYSE Board Advisory Council.
As NYSE’s COO, Cunningham integrated multiple exchange acquisitions and spearheaded the development and launch of the world’s most sophisticated exchange technology platform.
Currently, Cunningham serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Stock Exchange and is an advisor for private companies and Georgetown University’s Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy. She previously served on the Boards of Catalyst and the Partnership for New York City.
