Katie Rice (B’27) is a student at the McDonough School of Business. Prior to Georgetown, Rice interned at ETF Global, a data, research, and analysis firm for Exchange-Traded Funds located in Manhattan. Through this internship, she became familiar with economic concepts, namely supply and demand and the domestic and international securities markets, through an immersive experience. She also completed year-long research regarding the Catholic Church and how it operated a business, analyzing the finances and expenditures of the Catholic Church. This inspired her interest in the intersection between finance and policy, as many of the Church’s financial decisions relied on its unique policies. These two experiences fueled her curiosity about the FinPolicy Trek, and she is excited to further explore this intersection of fields.

Rice is from New York City, where she grew up with her parents and two brothers. In NYC, she co-founded, managed, and coached a youth flag football company. At Georgetown, she is a proud member of the Women’s Club Lacrosse team. After graduation, she plans to return to Manhattan and continue her career in finance.
