Casey Olsen is a freshman at the McDonough School of Business, pursuing double majors in finance and accounting. He is originally from Milton, Massachusetts, a small suburb south of Boston, where he graduated from Milton High School before coming to Georgetown. On campus, Casey is actively involved in Georgetown Student Capital Partners as a Private Equity Analyst, and currently works with Renovus Capital to deliver CIM summaries and analysis reports and assist in financial modeling. Outside of academics, Casey enjoys graphic design, playing the guitar, and staying active, whether skiing, playing lacrosse, working out, or exercising.
Casey’s interest in the intersection of financial markets and public policy developed during his internship with his local state senator, where he gained firsthand experience analyzing how even small policy decisions can shape market trends and influence a multitude of private sector investment. This experience ignited his curiosity about how regulatory frameworks and market adaptations interact from the federal level down to the local level.
Casey believes that the FinPolicy Trek will provide unparalleled opportunities to expand his network and hear perspectives from federal policymakers that make important regulatory decisions and from private sector executives on how firms strategically adapt to ever-changing market conditions. He is excited to work closely with the Psaros Center in the future to deepen his understanding of these market dynamics as he prepares to enter the professional world.
