Aadi Vijaykaran is a sophomore at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, studying International Political Economy. With experience in investment banking and venture capital, he leads the university’s competing VC team, manages a book for Georgetown’s student-run international hedge fund, and co-founded a student-led think tank focused on national security and defense innovation. He is always looking for ways to bridge finance, policy, and global markets—whether through investment strategies or understanding how regulations shape economic growth. Outside of finance, Aadi is an adventurer at heart. He once trekked 25,000 feet to Mount Everest and the neighbouring Himalayan range (and barely lived to tell the tale); he is a die-hard sports fan, both from a recreation and analytics perspective; and he loves debating everything from market trends to the best way to cook pasta. His interest in the FinPolicy Trek comes from a desire to understand how financial regulations impact real-world decision-making—whether that is in global markets, venture capital, or even how startups navigate policy-driven challenges. He is excited to connect with industry leaders, dive into the nuances of financial policy, and maybe even find someone who shares his obsession with sports analysis or late-night finance Twitter.
