Psaros FinPolicy Scholars Visit with Lael Brainard

Last night, we were honored to host Lael Brainard, Psaros distinguished fellow, former director of the National Economic Council, and former vice chair of the Federal Reserve, for dinner with the Psaros FinPolicy Scholars.

In a dynamic conversation, she encouraged students to share their own perspectives, asking what most surprised them during their FinPolicy Trek. She also shared highlights from her distinguished career, including navigating financial crises and her experiences on the FOMC and at the G20, sparking a thoughtful discussion on policy, leadership, and decision-making.

The discussion offered insights into how high-level policy decisions are made and underscored the importance of thoughtful leadership in times of uncertainty.
