As global financial markets evolve, exchanges must adapt to new technologies, regulations, and shifting investor expectations. Dr. Reena Aggarwal discussed the current landscape of exchanges during her keynote session at The World Federation of Exchanges’s 63rd General Assembly and Annual Meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. She addressed the evolving challenges and opportunities facing exchanges and clearing houses globally. The WFE, representing over 250 market infrastructure providers—including standalone CCPs not affiliated with exchange groups—is the leading global industry association for exchanges and clearing houses.
Following her keynote, Dr. Aggarwal spoke with Nandini Sukumar, The World Federation of Exchanges Chief Executive Officer; Jos Dijsselhof, CEO of SIX and The World Federation of Exchanges Vice Chair; Carlson Tong, Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX); and Kendal Vroman, Chief Transformation Officer at CME Group.
