Norah Yang (B ’29) is a student at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business looking to major in business and global affairs with a minor in math. She is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, where she studied at Castilleja School before coming to Georgetown. On campus, she is a member of Zeeba Investment Group, Georgetown Student Capital Partners, and HoyAlytics. Outside of academics, she is an avid golfer and enjoys playing different courses around the world.
Yang’s interest in the intersection of finance and public policy originated from her high school history classes, where she wrote a research paper detailing the effects of Chinese policy and governance on the nation’s technological advances. Recognizing that government and public policy are such an integral force in shaping markets, she is deeply interested in learning more about how those two forces interact with each other, especially in fast-evolving markets like AI and digital assets.
As a FinPolicy Trek Scholar, she is excited to hear from policymakers and industry leaders about how they navigate this intersection and shape markets. Beyond the Trek, Yang hopes to actively stay involved in future Psaros Center events and engage with fellow students who share a passion for understanding how markets and policymaking shape our world.
