Michael Chen is a sophomore at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, where he is studying Finance and Accounting. On campus, he most recently served as president of Hoya Taxa, a student volunteering organization that files taxes for low-income residents across the DMV, and is the communications director and board member of the GU Accounting Society. He is pursuing a career in finance after exploring his interest through internships in the field. Outside of academics, Chen enjoys following football and basketball, spending time with friends, and he will tell you he has never fully let go of his childhood dream of becoming an NBA general manager.
Chen has been drawn to the Psaros Center since arriving on campus, attending numerous events where intriguing topics and insightful speakers have consistently matched his interest in the intersection of finance and policy, inspiring him to keep asking questions and digging deeper. He has volunteered as deputy stage manager for the Financial Markets Quality Conference and serves as a student researcher for the Psaros Center.
