Faysal Alameddine (SOH’28) studies Healthcare Management & Policy on the pre-med track. His interest in the many factors that shape healthcare delivery began at home, shaped by dinner conversations about balancing patient care with the realities of running a practice. That curiosity about the business side of medicine led him to found the Georgetown University Business and Healthcare Association (GUBHA), where he helps students explore how strategy, finance, and innovation shape healthcare. Through GUBHA’s Investment Department, he analyzes healthcare industry trends and evaluates how they drive long-term value.

He has also remained engaged in medicine through research and clinical experiences, including basic science research in a cardio-oncology lab at MD Anderson, supporting a Phase III cardiovascular clinical trial, and assisting with developmental neurobiology and lung cancer screening research at Georgetown and MedStar. Through founding GUBHA, he also came to understand that policy is the framework that ultimately determines how healthcare systems function. He is particularly interested in how this intersection of financial markets and public policy in healthcare influences hospital stability, innovation, and patient access.
