Alessandro Previtero

Alessandro Previtero is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, and a Faculty Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Before joining Indiana University, Alessandro was on the faculty at the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario and at the McCombs Business School at UT Austin.

Alessandro’s research is in behavioral finance, focusing on consumer financial decision-making. His research speaks to i) the value of financial advice, ii) fintech, AI, and retail investor behavior, and iii) saving for retirement and annuities.

His work has been published in top-tier academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, and the Journal of Financial Economics. His research has also been covered by – among others – the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, The Globe and Mail, National Post, Montreal Gazette, and MacLean’s.
