Hosted by The Earth Commons—Georgetown University’s Institute for Environment & Sustainability—and the Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, this event featured a special discussion with Sam Bakhshandehpour, the new CEO of the José Andrés Group.
The José Andrés Group, the company behind José Andrés’ restaurants, has a singular mission: To Change the World Through the Power of Food. Every endeavor is driven by the importance they place on this driving purpose, alongside their core values of authenticity, innovation, passion, service, profitability, and philanthropy.
“From hunger and poverty to climate change, are immense in scale and require a response to match them,” says José Andrés.
The discussion, moderated by Pete Marra, Dean of the Earth Commons, and Reena Aggarwal, Director of the Georgetown Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy, and MSB Faculty, took place from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Following the discussion, a reception was held.
