Real Estate Finance Initiative
The Real Estate Finance Initiative seeks to elevate the role the McDonough School of Business plays in real estate finance by developing future business leaders interested in careers in real estate finance. In addition, the Initiative aims to make Georgetown a forum for industry leaders to gather to discuss changing industry trends and share their knowledge.
Specifically, the Real Estate Finance Initiative supports:
- Building a Community of Interest: A series of events in both Washington and New York, including conferences, panels and guest speakers, with leading professionals and organizations in real estate finance. We will look to industry alumni for real world experience, expertise, and advice. This will create a forum for discussion and lasting relationships among these individuals and groups.
- Expanding Professional Opportunities: Provide increased engagement opportunities for alumni, as well as monitoring and networking opportunities for students. This initiative will ensure that graduates of the program have career opportunities with leading real estate organizations.
- Enhancing Curriculum, and Experiential Learning: Relevant course offerings in real estate for both graduate and undergraduate business students. Also, significant co-curricular learning opportunities, such as consulting projects, Argus training, case competitions, site visits, industry conferences, mentor programs, and student club activities. These activities will help students to be better prepared for careers in real estate finance.
