2018 Blockchain Summit at the McDonough School of Business
The third annual D.C. Blockchain Summit lead by the Chamber of Digital Commerce and Hosted by the Georgetown Center for Financial Markets and Policy was held March 6 -8, 2018. The welcoming remarks on the opening day were given by our Director, Professor Reena Aggarwal. Our Executive Director, John Jacobs moderated a fireside chat on the intersection of blockchain and Wall Street. The summit saw over 600 attendees with speakers such as James Sullivan Deput Assistant Secretary for Services, U.S. Department of Commerce and Matthew Roszak, Co-Founder and Chairman of Bloq and U.S Representaitve David Schweikert, Co-Chair, Congressional Blockchain Caucus. Over 70 global thought leaders particiapted in panels and fireside chats covering topics such as initial coin offerings, bitcoin futures and ETFs, trading and investing in cryptocurrencies, legislative and regulatory ramifications, as well as general market developments.
